Irwin Mitchell Responsive Website Design
Designs for a responsive website for Irwin Mitchell, a UK firm of solicitors.

Background
In 2012 Irwin Mitchell rebranded, requiring a redesign of their public website. They wanted to use this opportunity to create a new, responsive design to reflect the new brand.

Organising content
Content fell into one of three buckets:
- Personal legal advice for consumers
- Business legal advice
- Generic corporate information
Within each of these buckets, content was further divided into sub-sections — so ‘Personal’ contained Administrative & Public Law, Property Law etc — and the new brand assigned a colour to each one of these content types. Alongside working out how to navigate this structure, I had to make sure that all the colours used were WCAG AA compliant and I worked with Irwin Mitchell to ensure this.

Handing over from design to development
The site was to be built by a third-party, so to smooth the implementation path I created a small set of styleguides, showing how key elements were styled and how they worked when interacted with.
